VTG 1950s Ellen Cole Fashions BROOCH Pendant Jasper Cabochon EGYPTIAN REVIVAL
For your consideration is this vintage brooch produced by little known jewelry company called Ellen Cole Fashions of Fifth Avenue. I was able to locate a print ad dated to 1946 for this company where they produced replicas of antique jewelry. The brooch features a modern safety catch and a straight brooch backing. The main stone appears to be a polished heliotrope jasper set in a gold-tone bezel with filigree sides. That cabochon measures 1.5 inches long x 1.1 inches wide. Dangling from the brooch are several charms. Two charms are Egyptian Sphinxes, one is a gold-tone filigree piece wrapped around a orange carnelian ring. Dangling from that filigree finding is a gold-tone buddha charm and a round charm with the maker''s mark "EC". The piece measures 4 inches long x 1.6 inches wide. This is a unique piece and rare find that you will want to snatch up. Great piece of fashion history.r Shop with confidence when you shop with us.
