About GRUEN:
Founded in 1894 in Ohio by Dietrich Gruen, the original company was D. Gruen & Sons (later, The Gruen Watch Company, in 1922). At the start of the 1900s, the Gruen family watchmakers were the first to import and incorporate basic Swiss movements with adjusted dials, straps and cases made in the U.S. GRUEN was one of the leading watchmakers in the US.
Known as timeless engineering masterpieces, GRUEN pieces were all the rage in the early 1900s, especially their women’s watches that were some of the most popular for more than a decade. GRUEN manufactured their last watches in 1977.
