Vintage 1951 Alfred Philippe Trifari Silvertone Leaf Necklace & Earrings Set
This lovely and rare set is from the early 1950s by Trifari, designed by Alfred Philippe.
Made of shiny silvertone metal, this pretty design is composed of sprays of leaves.
The clip earrings measure approximately 1 3/16" by 7/8" They are signed Trifari on the clips, with the crown over the T.
The matching choker style necklace is difficult to measure due to the way that the links curve. It has 16 links and measures about 14" Designed by Alfred Philippe, it was patent number 164, 807. It is signed Trifari on the fold over clasp.
We''ve seen the drawing of the patent, dated 1951, but it did not include the length of the necklace. We''ve seen two other necklaces in this design, reportedly 14" to 15" in length. We''ve also seen similar Trifari chokers with extenders, adjustable chains. Since this necklace is so short, we are including such an extender. The extender is easy to attach and remove and would be worn in the back, where it would not show.
