Madame Alexander dolls are held together with rubber bands. Over the years the bands become stretched or brittle. Don''t risk buying a doll that isn''t restrung, even ones that appear to be new in the box. Bands may become floppy or break in shipping. All of my dolls have strong and tight bands.
