Indian Miniature Painting - Two Moghuls Embracing - Hand painted - 1990s.
This charming Indian miniature painting portrays two men, in Moghul attire, lovingly embracing in a bedroom. The man on the left with a halo may be Shah Jahan, builder of the Taj Mahal.
The painting is 5.7/8" x 3.7/8" and looks to be done in acrylic paint with gold details on a hard surface, possibly bone. It''s mounted on a cardboard portfolio which could be easily cut away for framing. ***Please note that the painting is not perfectly symmetrical***
It is in excellent condition and has been stored in an archival box since I purchased it in the early 1990s. Unsigned.
